You know that there are a lot of different types of fishing, especially when it comes to fishing in the saltwater. For instance we have flats fishing, deep sea fishing, spearfishing, along with many other types of saltwater fishing, but what about fishing with cast nets? This is a great way to get your hands on groups of either fish, such as mullet, or some really cool amounts of bait fish, such as minnows or greenbacks, which are great for catching snook and redfish in the southern regions of the United States. Mainly all the way from the east coast of Florida to the beaches of Texas, you will find these great bait to hook up with something great.

You have heard it somewhere, or at least that I hope you have as pontoon boats are considered the platform to party on when it comes to parties on the water. That is right they are perfect for such an occasion, I mean sure there are better options that are out there, but the problem with that is the word everyone would want more of …. money. If you have never been deep sea fishing before then you do not know what you are missing out on, as it can be an experience of a life time, and it is a great way for families to get together and really connect. If you have the money, and are looking to buy a perfect boat that has never been used before, then by all means go get a brand new boat, as you will be able to afford one without any problem at all. Not all of us have that luxury, and most of us are on a tight budget, and if you are wanting to get a better deal, then you should buy a boat used. Lets start off with saltwater, but where are we going to actually fish? When it comes to saltwater there are many places that are to be fish, considering that is what over 75% of the world is made of. As when it comes to fishing from a boat in freshwater, you do not need a big vessel, you need a small boat because you will either be fishing in a lake or you may be fishing in a river. As if you plan on saltwater fishing off shore then you will need a vessel that is made to handle the wrath of mother nature, meaning the boat should be a decent size about 20 foot or up and it should be desigtned to handle rough seas and be in the ocean. There are many different varieties of saltwater fishing tackle, so depending on where you are fishing, and what you are fishing for will determine the type of bait and tackle that you will need. For instance you will need a different rod and reel set up for bridge or pier fishing then you would if you were out on a boat in the ocean fishing for something like sailfish or Mahi Mahi.
If you have never fished before I would recommend starting off at a dock. This is very simple and can be very effective, all you will have to have is the right bait and saltwater fishing tackle to get the job done. [click to continue…]
